Eni is reported to be close to completing an appraisal well on its giant pre-salt discovery off Gabon. The Nyonie Deep discovery was made back in 2014 in the shallow water Block D4 in the north of the country (see AOG 31 July 2014). The Italian firm immediately pegged reserves at about 500m boe of gas and condensate.
