ShoreCan signs jack-up for Nigeria MOPU project

ShoreCan has signed a letter of intent for a jack-up for a series of wells on its planned Noa project off Nigeria and said financing talks are in "late stage discussions". The joint venture between Nigeria's Shoreline Group and Canadian Overseas Petroleum (COP) operates OPL226 which holds the Noa discovery. In December it submitted a development plan to the government involving an appraisal well being placed into production through an early production system, likely to be a MOPU. This will be followed by the drilling of up to three additional wells - all set to come onstream by the end of 2020 and each producing between 6,000 and 10,000 b/d of oil.
