E Guinea awards regional gas 'Mega Hub' contract

Equatorial Guinea (EG) and Marathon have awarded a new contract as they continue to push the dream of taking in gas from neighbouring Nigeria and Cameroon to create a 'Mega Hub'. The pair have awarded a contract for the development of a Gas Master Plan to Gas Strategies. Late last year trader Vi-tol signed up as a strategic partner to help build the Mega Hub which potentially includes expanding Marathon's LNG plant on Bioko Island. Under the development, Punta Europa is set to become a gas processing centre for all stranded gas fields in the Gulf of Guinea.
