Maurel & Prom is having to reconsider its plans for one or two wells off Namibia this year not only because of the oil price but as one of the partners is leaving. The company holds PEL 44 in the traditional Namibian hotspot of the central Walvis Basin with ExxonMobil and Azi-nam and had said it will drill "one or two wells" this year.
