Nigeria LNG hit by petition but Total still keen

While Total expects the contracts to be awarded for Nigeria LNG Train 7 Plus this year, they will be delayed by the elections and by a petition complaining about the members of the two consortia shortlisted. The operating venture has regularly stated that a decision on the project would be taken in the fourth quarter of last year after the FEED contracts were awarded to two competing consortia earlier in the year (see AOG 8 March). The two rivals are B7 JV and SCD JV. The former comprises KBR, TechnipFMC and JGC while the latter involves Saipem, Chiyoda and Daewoo.
