Neurointerventions in Offenders: Ethical Considerations

The Birks and Buyx (2018) article on mandatory neurointerventions as a morally objectionable form of punishment compared to incarceration provides an interesting and thought-provoking perspective. However, we raise some objections to their claims and provide an alternative perspective that neurointerventions need not be viewed as any more morally objectionable than standard forms of interventions.
