Photochemical Deposition of ZnSe Thin Films

摘要

Zinc selenide (ZnSe) films were chemically deposited at 70 °C temperature for 4 hour under red, green and blue color photo illumination. Uniform and well adherent films, on the glass substrate, of white to reddish-yellow in color were obtained. Light effects on the growth of ZnSefilms were studied. Compositional, optical, morphological and structural properties were studied by different characterization techniques viz Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), UV-Visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Thesestudies reveal the formation of nanocrystalline films. The observed (111), (220) and (311) planes corresponds to sphalerite cubic structure.
