Mobile Content Delivery Scheme Based on User Characteristics Categorization

摘要

In this study, I present a mobile content delivery scheme based on user characteristics categorization (abbreviated UCC). These user characteristics can be simply divided into four categories in mobile communication: Category 1. A stationary user under cellular network; Category 2.A mobile (walking, driving, and so on) user under cellular network; Category 3. A stationary user under WiFi network; Category 4. A mobile user under WiFi network. Under the WiFi network with mobile user (WiFi-Mobility) environment, the communication condition usually shows the worst case.The proposed mobile content delivery scheme can detect the characteristics of users, and bulk data are requested in advance under the low network quality WiFi-Mobility environment. Hence, content delivery quality of service can be improved in WiFi-Mobility environment. Therefore, the proposedscheme is expected to be useful for providing services such as mobile content delivery in wireless environments.
