A Study on Relationship Between Tuberculosis and Social Stress Using Multiple Regression Analysis

This study was attempted to reduce the recurrence rate by using multiple regression analysis to identify stress, stress coping strategies and self-management factors that may affect tuberculosis. The data were collected from 110 patients who were admitted to the tuberculosis hospitalin M city. Data were analyzed by multiple regression using SAS program. The results showed that stress perception, stress coping, problem centered coping, and emotional centered coping had a significant effect on self-management. Also, as the stress perception was low and problem centeredcoping strategies were used more frequently, the self-management performance score increased and the recurrence rate could be reduced.
