摘要

Automatic inspection is one primary use of the machine vision technology. This paper proposes a solution mechanism based on the machine vision technology for inspecting terminal crimping of hi-wrap cable harness, which can increase productivity with improving speed and reliability oftest processes. This mechanism includes both system design and eight-step algorithm development. This paper verifies the proposal with implementing a system and successful results testified with respect to predetermined four factors of performance evaluation. Being unaffected by workers’skill, the proposed solution mechanism can provide higher reliability and productivity in the process of inspecting hi-wrap cable harnesses.
