On the basis of the close relationship between the hard ceramic material 9020 and the ceramic adhesive Ceramabond 633, the application specialists at Kager have developed an interesting solution for joining and repairing jobs. The high-purity aluminium silicate type 9020 is used, among other things, for manufacturing single components, prototypes, samples and even small production series for high-temperature and fire-resistant applications. The hard ceramic can be machined very well and, in the fired version, is very resistance to frequent temperature changes and remains stable at temperatures of up to 1100 °C. In an unfired state, it can be used up to a temperature of 650 °C. Kager supplies this material preferably in small quantities in the form of plates, rectangular bars, round bars and discs.
