The future of suppliers to the automotive industry engineering battery technology is currently very promising. The dynamic development and the prospects for larger quantities are reflected in the industry. Despite skepticism regarding infrastructure and energy balance, OEMs and Tier Is are working tirelessly on new and innovative concepts for vehicle batteries. While fuel cells are once again the subject of very lively discussions, batteries will likely be the favorite energy storage system for the coming decades. Vehicle-specific solutions are desired and possible for large volume cars. Modular concepts are preferred for low volume cars or for trucks, delivery vans, special vehicles, buses or trains.
