Testing National Composites Centre invests in ultrasonic testing technology

An automated system for the accurate and rapid inspection of composites is to be housed at the National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol, UK. The ?1.4-million Composite Integrity and Verification Cell (CIVC) is designed and built by Ultrasonic Sciences Ltd of Aldershot, UK, and will be installed at the NCC in the latter part of 2019. It will be used to carry out a variety of fast, repeat-able and non-destructive ultrasonic tests on a wide range of composite parts.
