The device i.e. supply section (1), has an ultrasonic signal generator connected to an end of a liquid column, where the column is developed by filling coupling fluid i.e. water, into a cavity that is formed by supplying ultrasonic signal into a test piece. Other end of the generator with a flexible diaphragm (8) is designed as a coupling surface to a test piece surface. The column is partitioned hermetically under pressure that is greater than the ambient pressure in a chamber during operation to form a stationary liquid column. The section is made of translucent plastic or metallic material.
