Raytheon and United Technologies to merge

US companies Raytheon Co of Waltham, Massachusetts, and United Technologies Coip of Farmington, Connecticut, are to merge through a transaction that is expected to close in the first half of 2020. The merged company, called Raytheon Technologies Corp, will combine Raytheon's defence technology with United Technologies' aerospace and defence technologies.
