Industrial RFID antennae with significantly improved ranges

At the SPS/IPC/Drives fair in Nuremberg last November, Turck presented new active read-write heads for its RFID system that can transmit and receive signals within the UHF wave band between 865 and 928 MHz. These much higher microwave frequencies allow a higher transmission range of up to three meters, as depicted by the 'bubbles' in the photos below.
