While ladder logic is challenging for industrial programming, it is a valuable skill for engineers looking to enhance their skill set, says David Breen. I started programming as a teenager, received a bachelor's degree in computer science and have worked as a software and web developer for over a decade. I was a programmer before attaining the degree: teaching myself, learning new languages and trying new things. Transitioning to industrial programming was the biggest changeup in my history, but also a valuable one.
