Lisco is maintaining output, despite regular shutdowns and power shortages, while armed conflict rages in parts of Libya as two rival governments vie for power.But the steel maker has had to reduce its targets. Its iron plants will aim for 700,000 t, which is 50% of the annual goal. Last year production was around 800,000 t, including around 300,000 t of hot briquetted iron, short of the 500,000 t objective.
