Over the past decade special elastomers have gained importance in the automotive industry due to increasing technical demands under the hood and the push to increase in fuel effiency without sacrificing driving performace. In particular, the higher operating temperatures of new motors challenge the makers of elastomers to meet demands in an ever compact and frequently turbo-charged engine bay environment.
