Perineal MRI. Exploration of Ano-Perineal Fistulas in Crohn's Disease in 2019

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was established in 2019 as the reference technique in the exploration of anal fistulas of Crohn's disease, in addition to the clinical examination. The technique is simple, non-invasive and provides essential information in the management of the lesions, both to guide the initial surgical drainage of complex anal suppurations and during the follow-up to assess response to medico-surgical treatment.
