Sluggish domestic demand to push producers' pipe prices down

Producers have put down prices for 57-108 mm GOST 10704(05) pipesintended for November deliveries to the home market by 3-4%.In December, production cost of welded pipes may decrease in Ukraine becauseof the downturn in foreign markets for flat products. The further landslide of FOBquotations will give pipe plants hope that domestic strip prices fall and steelmakersdrop quotations for the December output of HR coils by 3-5% in the home market.In January-February, exports may intensify along with a gradual growth of FOBprices for HR coils. Domestic strip prices will be moving up at the same pace asexport ones. Swelling production cost will urge pipe plants to raise prices.
