PaintCare was created by paint manufacturers and the American Coatings Association (ACA) to develop and implement environmentally sound and cost-effective stewardship programs in states that pass paint stewardship laws. In states where PaintCare operates, its activities include reducing the generation of postconsumer (leftover) architectural paint; promoting using up leftover architectural paint; and providing forthe collection, transportation, and processing of leftover architectural paint using the hierarchy of "reduce, reuse, recycle."
