I'm sure many readers have conducted scientific experiments where the outcome was not what was expected but was still of scientific interest, or have had experimental results which perhaps don't correspond to what is reported in the literature. There is now a journal that has been created to publish this work and theories generated from it. The Journal of Serendipitous and Unexpected Results is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access online journal, which has a focus on results that question existing assumptions or uncover surprising phenomena or connections.
