California adopts Prop 65 safe harbour level for solvent PCBTF

California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (Oehha) has adopted a Proposition 65 ‘no significant risk level’ (NSRL) of 23 micrograms per day for the solvent p-chloro-α,α,α-trifluorotoluene (PCBTF). Adoption of the safe harbour level means a Prop 65 warning label will not be required where exposure to PCBTF is below the NSRL. The change takes effect on 1 April.
