India consults on test measures for lead in paints and varnishes

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is consulting until 8 January on a draft standard that outlines three test methods to measure the presence of lead in varnishes, paints, enamels and related products, and an additional method to determine if the same products are free from the heavy metal.
