Tanzania publishes draft polyethylene FCM standard

Tanzania’s Standards Bureau has published a draft standard for polyethylene food contact materials (FCMs), which sets limits for the presence of hundreds of substances. The draft standard proposes maximum allowed percentages by mass in the final product for more than 130 "auxiliary" additives, including: carbon black – 5%; polyvinyl cyclohexane – 0.1%; silicon dioxide – 10%; and titanium dioxide – 20%.
