DSM completes NMP phase out from coatings and resins

Global nutrition, health and materials company, Royal DSM, announced today that it has phased out the solvent n-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) from its coatings and resins. NMP is used as a solvent or surface deposition medium during manufacturing and has been restricted under EU REACH since 9 May this year. It was added to the EU’s candidate list in May 2018 for being a suspected reprotoxicant.
