Up to 70% of higher-tier tests in REACH could be avoided

Up to 70% of additional tests required for dossier compliance under REACH could potentially be avoided, according to initial findings from four pilot projects conducted by Cefic and Echa as part of a joint action plan to improve dossiers. The pilot projects, which ran from December 2019 to October this year, aimed to resolve the main scientific or technical challenges related to dossier updates and serve as case studies for industry through simulated compliance checks on certain substances.
