Germany: Powder Metallurgy - New Challenges and New Paths

Digitalization in production technology concerns all areas of industry and will also significantly influence the further development of powder metallurgy. Behind the terms Industry 4.0 or digital, additive production are challenges, but, equally, new opportunities for companies in the field of Powder Metallurgy (PM). Here, PM can play out its flexibility as a traditional strength. Against this background, the 37th Hagen Symposium on 29.-30.11.2018 was devoted to the topic "Powder Metallurgy - New Challenges and New Paths". For the first time, a PM Practitioner Day Workshop was offered, which, with an average of 30 participants, was well received. Over 200 conference attendees and 51 exhibitors with their professionals took part at the event.
