My work is inspired by the everyday marks we create in our daily routines, particularly in cooking and baking. From the big pouring mark left in a bowl after emptying out your cake mix, and the little splashes of chocolate sauce on the worktop, to the coffee ring left from your mug - I try to replicate these marks using coloured slip in my bowls, cups and jugs. Each piece has part of a recipe handwritten by my late grandmother transferred on to it. The jugs have the ingredients list on them, and the bowls each feature different steps of the recipe, depending on the size and which part of the recipe you would use the bowl for.
