I'm baffled as to the BBC's reasoning behind not continuing with The Great Pottery Throw Down, as it was educational, fun and noble. We potters know the wonderful benefits of using clay, and more and more people have been 'having a go' and feeling the benefits since tuning in - a fabulous 3.4 million viewers. The programme showed kindness between potters, excitement and variety - and we hadn't even started on the delights of glazing. The nation now understands and enjoys ceramics better because of its two series.
