FNA cytology of subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma with granulomas: a diagnostic pitfall.

Dear Editor, Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare form of cytotoxic T-cell lymphoma with preferential involvement of the subcutaneous tissue.1 Patients usually present with solitary or multiple subcutaneous nodules, most commonly on the extremities and the trunk. The cytological findings of SPTCL have been reported in only a few articles.2"5 Here, we report on the FNA features of a SPTCL case that showed prominent granulomatous inflammation and a few scattered neoplastic cells compared with the previous reports.
