摘要

In this article, the density effect on superradiance is investigated through the field suppression of superradiance. It is shown that increasing density, which increases the number of atoms and leads to a greater macroscopic dipole, causes line broadening. In other words, it is harder to stop superradiance by an external electric field at higher density. The results reported here are essential to the superradiance detection and are critical steps towards creating and controlling ultracold plasma.
