Isotopic yield in the cold ternary fission of even-even Cf250-260 isotopes with C-14 as light charged particle

Within the unified ternary fission model (UTFM), the C-14 accompanied cold ternary fission of even-even Cf250-260 isotopes has been studied, in which the interacting potential barrier is taken as the sum of Coulomb and proximity potential. In the C-14 accompanied ternary fission of even-even Cf250-260 isotopes, the highest yield is obtained for the fragment combination with doubly magic nuclei Sn-132 (N = 82, Z = 50) as the heavier fragment. The presence of doubly magic nuclei Sn-132 plays a crucial role for the most favorable splitting in the ternary fission process of even-even Cf250-260 isotopes. It should be noted that the most favorable fragment combinations obtained using UTFM in the ternary fragmentation of Cf-252 are found to be the same as that obtained using the triple gamma coincidence technique at the Gammasphere facility. For example, the relative yield found for the fragment combinations like Sr-98 + Xe-140 + C-14, Sr-100 + Xe-138 + C-14, Zr-102 + Te-136 + C-14, Zr-104 + Te-134 + C-14, Mo-106 + Sn-132 + C-14, and Mo-108 + Sn-130 + C-14. We would also like to mention that the fragment combination Mo-106 + Sn-132 + C-14, which possesses the highest yield obtained using our formalism, is found to be in agreement with that observed in the experiment using the triple gamma coincidence technique at the Gammasphere facility.
