摘要

Objective: Integration of fluorine-18 fludeoxyglucose (F-18-FDG)-positron emission tomography (PET) functional data into conventional anatomically based gross tumour volume delineation may lead to optimization of dose to biological target volumes (BTV) in radiotherapy. We describe a method for defining tumour subvolumes using F-18-FDG-PET data, based on the decomposition of differential uptake volume histograms (dUVHs).
