Resilience and collaboration

NHS resources are relentlessly under scrutiny and specialist nurses are instrumental in delivering care that meets the needs and expectations of our patients with ever-decreasing funds. It is essential for nurses to respond and evolve their practice by showing resilience, passion and a determination to be proactive. This year, the Association of Stoma Care Nurses (ASCN UK) 4th Annual National Conference at Bournemouth International Conference Centre (ICC) 27-29 September 2016 will have as its theme 'Achieving more with less'.There are inspirational examples of developments in clinical practice and service development that have impressed the ASCN UK committee, and we are delighted so many of you have submitted abstracts to share with your peers.
