THIRTY YEARS OF LEADING BENHS FIELD MEETINGS

This article provides a list of over one hundred macromoth-based BENHS field meetings led by the author since his first in 1988, with full references to the field meeting reports published in this journal, and to others published only in British Wildlife magazine, thus making this information much more accessible. The diversity of these meetings is described, including the range of aims, the species recorded, the habitats and geographical locations visited, the numbers of people attending and an example of the promotion of the society and its field meetings on television.
