American Bonsai Society 2019 National Convention:Bonsai on the Bayou

The bonsai event created by the Houston Bonsai Society (HBS), partnered with the American Bonsai Society (ABS) and the Lone Star Bonsai Federation (LSBF), opened at 6pm on April 11th this year with Pete Parker reading a letter from Houston mayor Sylvester Turner declaring a "weekend of bonsai enjoyment". The mariachi band began to play and the bar opened simultaneously with the ribbon cutting ceremony performed by HBS president Pete Parker and ABS president, Mark Fields and a weekend of fun and bonsai enjoyment was underway.
