The introduction of marine species is responsible for serious environmental and economic issues, whose frequency is increasing. However, the risks associated with parasitic displacements are often neglected and the evolution of parasite communities is still generally unknown. This PhD thesis dealt with the evolution of parasite communities from marine fish, introduced in the wild. In the late 1950s, the deliberated introduction of fish from French Polynesia to the Hawaiian archipelago, is a unique model offering unprecedented opportunity to understand the epidemiological, ecological, molecular and morphological consequences of the introduction of non-indigenous species in a coral reef ecosystem.
