EU clears Baker Hughes, GE oil services merger

HOUSTON (ICIS)--The European Commission has cleared the proposed merger between US-based oil field services major Baker Hughes and General Electric’s (GE) oil and gas business, Baker Hughes said in an update on Wednesday. Baker added that it and GE continue to work with other regulators and expect to close the deal in mid 2017.
