Japan's Adeka nine-month net profit grows 11%; sales down 1.2%

TOKYO (ICIS)--Adeka Corp posted an 11% year-on-year increase in its nine-month net profit to yen (Y) 11.1bn due partly to increased sales volume, the Japanese chemical producer said on Friday. Operating profit for the nine months to 31 December 2016 rose by 4.7% to Y15.6bn although net sales slipped by 1.2% to Y165.6bn, Adeka said in a statement.
