S Korea Q3 economy expands 3.6% on year; manufacturing grows 6.4%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea's economy posted a 3.6% year-on-year growth in the third quarter of 2017, faster than the 2.7% pace recorded in April to June, the country's central bank said on Thursday. The Korean economy was boosted by construction and manufacturing sectors, which recorded annualized growths of 6.8% and 6.4%, respectively, in the third quarter, based on advance estimates.
