China's CNPC, Russia's Novatek to expand gas cooperation

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Russia's Novatek to deepen and expand cooperation on natural gas as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG), CNPC said in a statement on Thursday. Under the agreement inked on 1 November, the parties will advance construction of Yamal LNG project and examine the possibility of Arctic LNG 2 project.
