Volkswagen commits to boosting CNG as fuel for autos

LONDON (ICIS)--German car major Volkswagen and operators of compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations and gas networks on Tuesday signed a joint declaration that commits them to extending the country’s "CNG mobility". The objective is to raise the CNG vehicle fleet in Germany tenfold to 1m vehicles by 2025 and to increase the CNG filling station network from currently 900 locations to 2,000 over the same period, Volkswagen said.
