UK industry unprepared for no-deal Brexit scenario - manufacturers' trade group

LONDON (ICIS)--More than 80% of manufacturers in the UK are unprepared for a no-deal Brexit scenario, with roughly one in six saying trading under World Trade Organisation (WTO) rules would make their business untenable, according to data from manufacturing industry trade group EEF. The EEF-commissioned survey of 500 manufacturing business decision-makers found that 83% of manufacturers are not prepared for a UK departure from the EU without having agreed a deal, while 43% said they are not prepared and have no plans to do so.
