Urea prices face downward pressure as market struggles to find demand

LONDON (ICIS)--Lack of demand in any major market is keeping urea prices globally under downward pressure with pessimism setting in about future price direction. Each week, sellers drop their offers slightly but buyers are not ready to step in yet given the bearish outlook from June. "There is nothing happening and it has been another unexciting week. No one will buy [urea] right now expecting that prices will fall in June," according to an international trader.
