HOUSTON (ICIS)-Stepan's fourth-quarter net and operating proffts improved, with sales rising 13% year on year to $474m, the US-based manufacturer of specialty and intermediate chemicals said on Thursday. The sales increase was primarily due to higher selling prices, which were mostly attributable to the pass-through of certain higher raw material costs, Stepan said.
