Vietnam hikes PP copolymer import duty to 3% from January 2018

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Vietnam will increase its import duty on polypropylene (PP) copolymer grade cargoes from non-ASEAN suppliers to 3% starting January 2018, industry sources said on Friday. Previously, copolymer PP imports in the country were exempt from duty. The move puts the duty for copolymer PP grades in line with that of PP homopolymer, for which the import duty was raised to 3% from 1% in early 2017.
