US MPG contracts expected to rise following propylene settlement

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US monopropylene glycol (MPG) contracts for January are expected to rise following the settlement in upstream December propylene contracts. Formula-based calculations suggest that MPG contracts for January would rise by around 0.67 cent/lb ($15/tonne). However, customers who are on freely negotiated contracts are facing price increases.
