UK new car sales fall 3% in November

LONDON (ICIS)--New car sales in the UK fell 3.0% year on year in November to 158,639 units amid weakening consumer confidence and supply constraints, trade group Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said on Wednesday. “Stalling consumer confidence, supply delays due to implementation of the new WLTP [Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure] emissions test and model replacement all combined to affect overall sales,” the group said.
